Operational excellence doesn’t start in spreadsheets – it starts on the terminal floor.
Instabee is on a strong growth journey, and we are now looking for a People & Operational Excellence Director to help us scale performance, safety and engagement across our blue‑collar operations. This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who understands that high performance and high well‑being go hand in hand.
The role – your mission
As People & Operational Excellence Director, your mission is to strengthen performance through people, structure and leadership in our blue‑collar organization. This is not a traditional HR role. It is an operationally oriented People Partner role, embedded in Group Operations.
You are a member of the Group Operations Leadership Team and work closely with VP Operations. In parallel, you hold a hands‑on People responsibility for Denmark and Finland, acting as a trusted advisor to local leaders.
The role reports to the Director of People Partners.
What you will drive
- Operational efficiency through people
You apply the same discipline to people processes as we do to logistics flows. Using data, structure and continuous improvement, you help increase productivity, reduce friction and improve quality across the employee lifecycle. - Leadership and change
You coach operational leaders in structured ways of working, performance feedback and data‑driven decision‑making. You play a key role in transformation as we grow in a matrix organisation. - Blue‑collar excellence
You build clear career paths, skills frameworks and development initiatives for terminal employees and drivers – strengthening retention, engagement and internal progression. - Health, safety and sustainability
Performance means nothing without safety. You help build a proactive safety culture that goes beyond compliance and aligns people initiatives with Instabee ’s sustainability ambitions.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is comfortable where operations happen and who enjoys turning strategy into practical, working solutions.
You likely bring:
- Experience: 8+ years in operational or blue-collar environments such as logistics, manufacturing, or high-volume retail. Proven experience leading a business area or blue-collar operation, combined with hands-on experience in a People leadership role.
- Experience of transformation and working in matrix organisations
- Exposure to or strong interest in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methods is beneficial
- Solid experience in health, safety and work environment management
- Fluency in English and Swedish (Danish or Finnish is a plus)
As a person, you are pragmatic, structured and action‑oriented. You have high integrity, the courage to challenge when needed, and the ability to build trust at all levels of the organisation. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment – and bring both clarity and humanity to complex situations.
Why Instabee?
At Instabee, you get the opportunity to shape how a fast‑growing logistics company works with people at scale. You will have a real impact on performance, culture and safety and work with engaged, skilled colleagues who care about what they do.
